‘Guests are encouraged to explore the 55 acres of woodland gardens, with the family Labradors acting as guides. Bees and orchards supply the castle with honey and apple juice’

After inheriting this 17th century castle positioned on the Cornish bank of the River Tamar in 2007, the Coryton family put all their energies into renovating and modernising this historic property to create a multi award-winning B&B and wedding venue.

The nine beautifully appointed en-suite double rooms are airy and spacious offering excellent views of the gardens and River Tamar. Guests are encouraged to explore the 55 acres of woodland gardens, with the family Labradors acting as guides. Bees and orchards supply the castle with honey and apple juice.

The business is very much family-run, with the Corytons on hand to explain the history of the Estate and Castle, offering guided garden tours during spring and summer.

“The Castle exceeds expectations in every way, and the family owners are extremely welcoming and hospitable. An outstanding location and an unforgettable experience.” Pentillie Guest April 2013.
